In January 2009, two childhood friends set off on their first journey together across the Dark Continent. At that time, they were unaware that this would be just the beginning of a great, endless journey to distant and unknown lands, to the goal of a child's smile, human joy and peace.

Robert Noga - a special education teacher and Paweł Werakso - an entrepreneur, having encountered poverty like never before, after returning to a comfortable world, were no longer able to look at life and the reality around them in the same way. As a result, on April 15, 2009, they founded the Children of Africa Foundation.

With a group of several dozen enthusiasts, we implement our own aid programs. In Africa, we cooperate mainly with Polish missionaries, parishes and local partners. Within these activities, we put education first, then care and nutrition, health and prevention, and assistance to the disabled. Currently, our aid reaches 16 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, and each year several thousand beneficiaries benefit from it (activity map).

The foundation’s activities have been recognized and distinguished by the monthly TRAVELER, the Society of Friends of Warsaw, Białołęka Branch, the International Chapter of the Heart of the Earth Medal, and the Polish Episcopal Conference Commission for Missions.

What distinguishes the Children of Africa Foundation from other aid organizations is, apart from development and humanitarian activities, organizing MISJONERA - expeditions with a mission to help and bring joy to poor children, so that they experience a substitute for a carefree childhood. Every year we organize educational and recreational trips, taking children to national parks or amusement parks, museums, swimming pools, oceans, etc.
