A nurse working in a hospital in Myślenice. "I have always been moved by the pain and suffering of children. I admire the sincere and indescribable joy of life on their little faces, despite everything. They are so able to enjoy every day and the little things they receive! I am a mother of two children every day."
At the age of 88, the retired accountant joined the founders of the CHILDREN OF AFRICA Foundation. In his autobiographical book "The Evangelical Pilgrim" he wrote: "In my life there were days of joy, happiness and pride, but also terrible moments. God gave me the strength to survive those tragic days, gave me the strength to survive the darkness of suffering and disappointment. Hope never left me. Today, only the echo of those events and sadness and regret remain. I am a man of conscience."

"I've always believed that even small but sincere gestures towards another person can provide support, bring a smile or motivate to action. Africa has always been a special place for me that I wanted to support. That's why I work with the foundation."
office secretary
I come from the Przemyśl area, I graduated in pedagogy at the University of Warsaw, I am a KPP lifeguard. My passions are foreign languages, traveling, nature, running, the gym and collecting souvenirs and memories. I read a lot of books on religious and adventure topics. Working in the foundation gives me a lot of joy and satisfaction, and it all started with volunteering and the desire to go on a mission to Africa. The foundation created such an opportunity for me to go to Cameroon in 2017. It was an amazing experience and a clash with a different culture. Africa is very mysterious and intriguing to me. It is a great diversity and richness that requires an approach full of care, understanding and creativity, because contrary to appearances, helping there is not an easy task at all.
An ophthalmologist. He works in his own office. "I do what I like, so my professional work, although it takes a lot of time, gives me pleasure. I also love traveling. Thanks to Iwona Filipecka, I got involved in the "Ophthalmologists for Africa" campaign and then in cooperation with the "Children of Africa" Foundation. During my trips, I met wonderful and extraordinary people - missionaries, I also learned how poor and difficult the conditions of the inhabitants of Africa are. I believe that the most important thing is to help children, to create conditions for their education, development, and a better life. I can do this by helping those who see poorly."
Member of the Council,
Member of the "Medics for Africa" team
I studied pedagogy and management and marketing. I had heard about the foundation for several years, but I “truly” got to know it in 2018 at a meeting summarizing the national volunteering program in Częstochowa. It was an extraordinary experience for me – meeting so many wonderful people in one place – dedicated missionaries and volunteers, passionate about providing help in Africa. Empathy, selfless help, time, determination and commitment, large and small projects, enormous support for African children – these are the words that I will always associate with the CHILDREN OF AFRICA Foundation. Actually, I have always tried to help, getting involved in various projects for local communities – mainly in the areas of education, ecology, culture and sports. I have always associated volunteering with my previous experiences – fundraising or collections of money, joint aid campaigns, supporting the poor. After several months of cooperation with the foundation, I have become convinced that the volunteer work of CHILDREN OF AFRICA is not an act of philanthropy towards the needy or concern for the common good… It is rather a peculiar form of life that results from a specific human sensitivity (different in each person) shaped by the awareness that a person finds himself and fulfills himself through a selfless gift of self…
