Education is a fundamental human right. The deprivation of this right to millions of young Africans is one of the most glaring injustices of the modern world! Education is the best way to combat poverty and economic backwardness. If it is not defeated, the poor nations of Africa will never emerge from poverty and will always be "on the humiliating pot" of the rich and economically developed nations.

Poor African countries are unable to provide even basic education for their children. The authorities often do not even care about this. It is easier to run a country of uneducated people. Only education can free African children from the cycle of poverty and helplessness. School is the best investment in their future. There are thousands of particularly talented children among them.

In the years 2013-2022, the Children of Africa Foundation built five schools in Sub-Saharan Africa or added new school buildings to existing ones, giving them the name "Children of Africa" schools and providing patronage consisting of constant support for their activities and the students themselves.

BUNDOLI (Ghana)

School No. 1 named after Ryszard Kapuściński. In Ghana, almost 50% of the population cannot read or write. Despite the universal obligation to educate, there is a lack of schools, textbooks and teaching staff. For children in the village of Bundoli, in the northern part of the country, the opportunity to go to school is a great opportunity, opening the door to the world of education and a better tomorrow. Let us together ensure a good level of education in the school, educated teachers, teaching aids, a complete set of textbooks for all students, so that education at the School of the Children of Africa is full of inspiration for students, teachers and parents. We support the school's activities in cooperation with the parish of Christ the King in Gushegu.

KIRUDDU (Uganda)

School No. 2 of St. Elizabeth. The residents of the Koja Peninsula are poor, they mainly live off fishing. Most parents cannot afford to pay for school fees. Since the foundation built the school, hope has appeared in the hearts of the residents. Some of the children have been included in the adoption program and included among the students. The students are provided with uniforms, school supplies, and textbooks. School meals are not regular, because the parents of most children do not even pay the fees. This is still a sad reality on the Koja Peninsula and at the same time a challenge for the foundation, so that all students can study with full bellies. We support the school's activities in cooperation with the parish of St. Joseph in Kisoga.

DORZE (Ethiopia)

School No. 3. The hills around Arba Minch, in the south of the country, at an altitude of 2,374 m above sea level, are inhabited by the Dorze tribe, famous for producing characteristic fabrics in intense red, yellow and black colours. The Foundation, in cooperation with Tsehai Bogale - the owner of Dorze Lodge - supports the activities of the school and its students. Among other things, we managed to bring running water to the school grounds, which was previously unavailable to the residents of the high-altitude villages of Bodo & Amara, build a brick school building for students in older grades (V-VIII) and a Children of Africa club, and install a photovoltaic system and a router so that the school has access to the Internet.

MBAIKORO (Chad)

School No. 5, Our Lady of Peace Secondary School. Studying in a school under a roof of grass cannot be pleasant, safe or effective. In southern Chad it is a necessity for thousands of students. In Mbaikoro, where the Franciscan Sisters of the Suffering work, we have managed to change this spartan, African reality. The school still requires funding, because the needs are really many. In the broad sense of the word, new buildings are not enough for a "good education", complete teaching aids, textbooks, scholarships for the most talented students are needed. Together, in the spirit of Christian love and solidarity with the poor, let's create a "cool" secondary school Children of Africa - at a good level, with a bright perspective for its students.

KWAMNEKE (Tanzania)

Szkoła nr 4. The construction of the school was initiated by the To Help Africa Association registered in Poland. The Children of Africa Foundation co-financed the construction of additional buildings with classrooms, toilets and equipping students with textbooks, school supplies and scholarships. From the beginning, cooperation with the local government in Handeni was unsuccessful, which year by year claimed more and more rights to the school. Ultimately, the cooperation agreement was invalidated :( The school is not currently under the patronage of "Children of Africa".
